Terms and Conditions of Teddy's Art
This page outlines the general terms and conditions that apply to all purchases and use of Teddy's Art products. It is crucial for both you and us to have a clear basis so that Teddy's Art cannot be held liable for improper use of our handcrafted candles. Your understanding and agreement form the basis of a pleasant and safe experience with our unique creations.
Article 1 - Identity of the seller
This webshop is managed by Teddy's Art, located in Bruges, Belgium.
Hereinafter referred to as “the seller.”
Article 2 - Applicability
These general terms and conditions apply to every offer made by Teddy's Art and to every distance contract concluded between the seller and the customer. By placing an order via the webshop, the customer declares that they have read and accepted these general terms and conditions.
Article 3 - Offer
The products offered on the website are handmade candles and other decorative items. Product descriptions and images are displayed as accurately as possible. Obvious errors or mistakes in the offer do not bind the seller.
Article 4 - Prices
All prices on the website are in euros and include VAT, unless otherwise stated. Any shipping costs will be clearly stated during the ordering process. Teddy's Art reserves the right to change prices at any time.
Article 5 - Ordering
An order is final once the customer confirms the order and payment has been received. After placing an order, the customer will receive a confirmation email with the order details.
Article 6 - Payment
Payments can be made using the payment options offered on the webshop. The order will only be processed after payment has been received in full.
Article 7 - Delivery
Orders are shipped to the address provided by the customer. The delivery time is stated as clearly as possible on the website. If no delivery time is stated, delivery will take place within a maximum of 30 days after ordering, in accordance with European consumer legislation. Teddy's Art is not responsible for delays caused by the transport service.
Article 8 - Right of withdrawal
The consumer has the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days of receiving the product without giving any reason. To exercise this right, the customer must notify Teddy's Art by email within this period.
Article 9 - Conditions for returns
The product must:
- be unused
- be in its original condition
- be in its original packaging, if possible
The customer is responsible for the costs of the return shipment.
Article 10 - Refunds
Upon receipt of the return shipment, Teddy's Art will refund the purchase price within 14 days using the same payment method used for the purchase. If the product is damaged or used, a reduction in value may be charged.
Article 11 - Exceptions to returns
Returns are not possible for:
- personalized products
- products that cannot be returned for hygienic reasons once opened
- products that are specially customized
Article 12 - Legal warranty
The consumer is entitled to a 2-year statutory warranty on products for defects that already existed at the time of delivery. The customer must report the defect within a reasonable period of time after discovery.
Article 13 - Use of candles
Candles must always be used safely. Teddy's Art is not liable for damage caused by misuse of the products (e.g., leaving candles burning unattended, using them near flammable materials, etc.).

Teddy's art will handle complaints as quickly as possible.
Article 15 - Applicable law
All agreements are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Belgium.
Safety disclaimer - Candles
Teddy's Art candles are decorative and handmade products. To ensure safe use, we ask that you follow the safety instructions below.
Safe use of candles
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Always place candles on a heat-resistant surface.
- Keep burning candles away from children and pets.
- Do not place candles near flammable materials such as curtains or paper.
- Keep a minimum distance of 10 cm between flammable candles.
- Do not move a candle while it is burning or when the wax is still liquid.
- Keep the wick at a length of approximately 5 mm for safe burning.
- Stop burning when there is approximately 1 cm of wax remaining.
Liability
Teddy's Art is not liable for damage or injury caused by incorrect or unsafe use of candles. By using our products, the user declares that they understand and respect these safety instructions.
